At first, the incubator was created to incubate chicken eggs without the help of the parent to incubate.
Then in the 1950's developed an incubator for premature infants, less weight, and less healthy by the collection of British pediatricians.
At that time only a few hospitals that have incubator facilities or NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) because of the cost of expensive operations.
After 1970, many developing countries provide the NICU, because the operation becomes affordable.
Compared with 1960, only 40 percent, currently about 80 percent of babies born with weight under 1500 grams can survive in the NICU
